Mouschka!
Just wanted to share a picture of this amazing little Mouschka I purchased from Belcast Curiosities.
It looks exactly like the mouschkas in Coraline. I super-love it! I think it will find a nice home on my desk.

Fall in the Park
This week has been foggy, even now I can barely see beyond a few blocks. I really enjoy this weather though, it feels so cozy and fall-like. Fig and I took a late morning stroll through Wright Park a few days ago, enjoying the crisp air, fall leaves, foggy mist, and all of the cute squirrels!

| We stopped for brunch at the Stadium Thriftway deli. This delicious panini is the Pantages. Turkey, pesto, sun dried tomatoes, muenster cheese. Yum. |

| These little guys followed us around the park. We bought a bag of seeds to give them and they were not shy about taking them. This guy is just inches away from my foot! |

Magnets
I spent a few hours today creating a few tins of Halloween-themed glass marble magnets. Just have to print the tin labels and tidy them up a bit and they will be ready for listing in the shop!
Its a set of seven magnets, two large and five small in an Altoids-sized tin. My tins came from Tin Supply. Great service and super-fast shipping.

Seattle adventures
Being unemployed and being at home more than ever has made me a little stir crazy. While I do enjoy being able stay up late, sleep in, stay in my pajamas all day, and basically do whatever I want, its difficult to adjust to. So I finally dragged Fig to Seattle for a late morning/afternoon of adventures! We parked a few blocks away from the Pike Street Market and walked downhill the rest of the way.
Our first stop was Le Panier, a little French bakery right on Pike Street across from the Market. We picked up a few yummy pastries (chocolate croissant and a few souffles) and enjoyed a late morning breakfast in the park beside the Market. Later on in the day, when we were leaving Pike Street, I picked up a box of macarons from the bakery...its the end of the day and they're almost gone! So delish.
There's so much good stuff to see/eat/buy at Pike Street. We browsed some great used bookstores, checked out lots of locally made goods, admired the beautiful fresh produce, and people watched.

After we left the Market, we headed north to Green Lake. We parked by the lake, bought some lunch from Urban Bakery, and found a picnic table by the lake to eat lunch and enjoy the beautiful day.

Apartment warming fun!
I spent most of yesterday napping with the cat and watching DVDs of Friends. Yes, it was a good day. Speaking of Friends, we received a wonderful package from one of our very dear friends in the mail last week. One of our inside jokes/great thing about our friendship is that we bonded over watching DVDs of Friends and playing Mario Kart when we lived together and didn't have cable. So now everything is a joke about Friends or Mario Kart.
In one of the seasons, Ross moves into a new apartment and Phoebe brings him a home-warming gift of 'salt so your life always has flavor, bread so you never go hungry, and a scented candle for the bathroom cause, well, you know...' So that is what we got in the mail! How awesome is that!?! So creative and thoughtful.
Oh and there were also a set of Jack Skelington coasters from Disneyland (!) in the package! This is a picture of them in use, don't they look awesome!?!
