Ahhh, Sundays...

Nice relaxing Sunday, a good way to start what I assume will be a long week. Hopefully not, though! Slept in, browsed the interwebs, talked to mom, had an early dinner at Brio (yum!), and did a little shopping at Borders. Fig and I shared the Bruschetta Quattro, 8 delicious little bruschettas, 2 of each kind, perfect for sharing! For the entrees, I had the steak salad and he had the carbonara, both really good.

Please excuse the pictures, taken from my phone in very dim lighting.

We finished our evening by strolling over the the bookstore and picking up some new additions to our library. I picked up The Magicians, by Lev Grossman (I have just begun reading this one and LOVE it so far), The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane, by Katherine Howe, Freakonomics, by Steven Levitt and Stephen Dubner, and The Omnivore's Dilemma, by Michael Pollan. Plus, we got this great magazine, Stuffed, which I have never seen before but am very excited about. Its full of these amazing stuffed nuggets and tons of info and how-tos as well.

And in other happy news, I made my first sale on Etsy to this lovely person, who also has a pretty amazing shop that I'm sure I will have to purchase from soon! It has been a crazy couple of weeks/days, in which I was very tempted to turn off my phone, get under the covers, and refuse human contact of any kind. In particular, in the very same minute that I was receiving an email message on my phone that I had made my first sale on Etsy I was also receiving a slew of text messages about some unfortunate and upsetting goings-on at work. So in the middle of a personal/professional crisis, I received a line of hope from this one sale. I wish I could tell this person, without sounding like a total creep/weirdo how happy that sale made me and how it turned my month around. So much gratitude.

Anyways, back to The Magicians!
